A pregnant chimpanzee, attended by her mate, lies on her back with her legs over her head, opening her vaginal canal to assist with birthing. The father looks on and variously tries to help and expresses anxiety at his mates distress. At last, the bloody water breaks and a baby chimp is born. Graphic, but real.
(In the incredibly witty comments bound to show up, don’t confuse “chimp” with “chump”).
